Life in the Cell Begins at the Edge of Death, Part 2

Part 2: Food is the Source of Fuel, not the Transformed ‘Broken Down’ Fuel Your Body Actually Burns.

Your body does not burn carbohydrates and fat – ever. Instead, each breaks down into vinegar in a controlled process in your cells – and then acetic acid burns. Exercise intensity, age, diet, drugs, and hormones are factors that determine the rate you apparently ‘burn’ fat or carbs.

I just wrote ‘burn’ fat or carbs in the way you have normally thought. Carbs and fat are utilized, not burned, because they are not prepared to burn in a cell yet. Get technical and more interesting to listen to now, start telling people: “Acetic acid is the ‘final fuel’ that burns in the body.” Thus, metabolism is:

  • Acetic Acid + O2 –> CO2, + Water + Heat

Only acetic acid burns.

Main Points:

  • Fat and carbohydrate  are technically called fuel substrate. Neither burn, but both break down into acetic acid, constantly, each at different rates.

Think very carefully on these next points.

  • If you drink anything with acetic acid in it – for example, kombucha or vinegar – then the cells that contact this fuel get to use it first. Think: acetic acid is ‘ready made fuel’ for your body. Cells of your gut are obviously the first to contact any ‘ready made’ fuel you just ate or drank. The significance of this is the cells of your intestines consume acetic acid before it can absorb into your bloodstream and fuel the rest of your body.
  • All other foodstuffs that absorb past your intestines must and indeed do break down later – into acetic acid. In this case foodstuffs that breakdown later into acetic acid are mainly glucose and fat. Protein is not a significant or preferred source of fuel so we will ignore it for the rest of this article.
  • Metabolism happening is – ‘your cells eating’ – in the sense they burn acetic acid to stay alive. Waste products of your cells’ metabolism are CO2, Water, and Heat – as in any common fire. So in reality, you do not eat or metabolize anything until your cells eat.
  • Your cells eat, through the eternal flame of burning acetic acid. No breakdown of foodstuffs into acetic acid = no life within the cell.

Now rosin up your bow and get ready to play your fiddle hard. We’re not in Georgia anymore.
