Again, thank you to all who attended the Brain Health seminar and a special thank you to Dr Terry for hosting.

This MRI shows blood flow disruption in the brain, which is where lesions in the brain develop and brain cells die. Doing puzzles and using your brain will not help cell function when blood flow is reduced or cutoff.

Conception: The metabolic model is an adult game of ‘connecting the dots’ addressing each part of the body that contributes to cellular health – particularly respiration – of the brain, heart, muscles, indeed the whole body.

Several protocols exist for preventing/reversing degeneration and cognitive decline, all which stem from the perspectives of the researchers (e.g. Ray Peat, Dale Bredesen, Terry Wahls, the Autoimmune Protocol) as well as their personal experience, observing how the body works in the lab, or through clinical recovery of people who suffered from loss of motor function, MS, and/or memory/cognitive decline.

I think a short review of what the ‘metabolic model’ is will help you all understand it and brain health, better – so I’m taking the time to provide you all with three ‘easy to read’ source readings that appeared in the New York Times (bullet points linked below). Each article reveals how nutritionally caused degeneration of the brain and nervous system, may begin in the stomach.

Different protocols and researchers do not take into account other crucial components of metabolism, (e.g. microcirculation, age related decline of stomach acid and overall the stomach’s purpose, Zeta Potential of blood, ‘pathogen load’ in blood, and moreover, simplified and precise explanations on cell function and exercise physiology), which I do I cover in my seminars. This is due to limitations that are naturally inherent of one’s line of scientific investigation, including my own.

The recap of what the metabolic model is also explains why doing puzzles and games have been proven to fail to stop cognitive degeneration. Enjoy

Recap of metabolic model:

I think the biggest surprise for most people is hearing this concept:

Age related stomach degeneration, gastric bypass, and prescription drug induced stomach problems irrefutably lead to widespread loss of motor function… which occurs due to to degeneration of the cells’ myelin structure in the brain and spinal column. This is ultimately caused by the stomach’s failure to allow nutrients to ever absorb in the first place.

  • Rephrasing it: the brain’s ability to focus on a task, recall short term memories, or properly move the muscles (that control your speech, legs, and fingers) depends on the condition of your stomach. In short: The brain’s ability and health depends on the condition of your digestive power.
  • Thought alone is not the result of neurons firing – but so is movement and your perception of space and time. Perception of time is memory. People with advanced Alzheimer’s disease and dementia cannot draw a clock on paper.

From this point forward of the stomach, healing the body is all about flow of blood, nutrients, oxygen – as these are the agents that provide both structure and the energy containing food stuffs for cells’ aerobic respiration

Thus, a ‘metabolic’ or energetic model means we treat the whole body; we emphasize relationships, i.e. interdependency among the parts of the body that are absolutely essential to well-being, metabolism. and healing… akin to conceiving a holistic model or a gestalt. We consider the forest (whole) and the trees (cells).

No metabolism occurs if the machinery of the stomach fails to ‘set the table’ for proper assimilation of nutrients, (at least not for long).

Remark: Upon investigation, it becomes obvious and clear that the failure of absorption of nutrients required to support the structure of nerve cells (myelin specifically) of the spinal cord and cerebellum will lead to widespread deterioration of motor control, balance, and coordination.

Remark: What is not obvious – but is clear through clinical studies – is the above mentioned nutrient deficiencies also result in brain fog, inability to focus attention, loss of memory, confusion, and degeneration in general.

The reason why games, puzzles, and ‘monotherapeutic’ approaches fail to address or prevent structural degeneration, memory loss, and loss of motor control is playing word games and doing puzzles do not contribute to the physical-nutrient-stuff that makes up the nerves of the spinal cord and the cerebellum in the brain.

consequence of adopting a Metabolic Program is that it results in preventing damage to the connections among the brain cells – particularly the brain’s synapses.

  • You want to minimize the damage to the synapses – the myriad connections which you have built up only through time when first perceiving, learning, moving in space, reading, playing games and word puzzles – for they all together represent the structural organization of your memory/personality, your ability to perceive time, as well as to move in space and speak with control and coordination.
  • The synapses also depend on blood flow, nutrients, and the removal of waste products. Thus goal to protect synapses is subsumed by (and therefore secondary to) adopting the metabolic/nutritional model. It’s a waste of time to practice puzzles and try to learn new things if your cells fail to receive blood, nutrients and oxygen.
  • If you lose the above neural-synapse structure, this tantamounts to losing yourself to the degree that nobody else recognizes you and you lose the sense of time itself. People with Alzheimer’s cannot draw clocks; this represents the most advanced form of degeneration and structure of your neural connections.

The entire ‘metabolic program’ involves all the 7 components listed (a bit below just before my summary) and consists of both nutritional and somatic (physical body) components

The nutritional component – in the expanded perception – is designed to improve your stomach’s condition, your gut flora, control blood sugar, improve your kidney health, enhance microcirculation, and finally, feed your cells mitochondria for ‘strong respiration’. You all ought to wondering to some degree how the foods I listed in my previous email contribute to all the improvements I just mentioned.

The somatic component also facilitates blood flow – and it’s crucial to exercise ‘blood flow restricted zones’.

In seminar 3 I’ll be demonstrating the physical moves that people of any age or condition can do to improve your bone, joint, and back health at the same time, in one 15-20 minute session. I guarantee extremely fast relief and benefits that leave you refreshed, stronger, more flexible, and confident.

The next two seminars will reinforce the concepts in the Brain Health seminar – by showcasing the heart’s role and more details on blood circulation. Then you may learn specific therapeutic exercises.

Finally, here are the 7 Components of the Metabolic Program:

  1. Nutrition, Metabolism, and the Stomach’s Role for a Healthy Brain
  2. Perform properly ‘dosed’ truly heart healthy exercise – seminar 2 and 3   (intensity, frequency, duration)
  3. Enhance microcirculation- involves nutrition, zeta potential/water, and exercise.
  4. Enforced breaks from prolonged sitting – seminar 3
  5. Promote a strong heart beat and healthy valves – seminar 2 – involves nutrition and Zeta Water
  6. Stress reduction regimens – seminar 3
  7. Sleep.

Summary of the Metabolic Model Concept:

The metabolic model is an adult game of ‘connecting the dots’ addressing each part of the body that contributes to cellular health of the brain, heart, muscles, i.e. the whole body. The goal is to specifically promote cellular regeneration even when healthy! …and of course during illness  or during recovery from energetically/metabolically compromised conditions.

  • Healing and regeneration are not predicated on the condition you must be sick or feeling bad – but continues 24/7/365 even when healthy!

Now, several protocols exist for preventing/reversing degeneration and cognitive decline, all which stem from the perspectives of the researchers and often their personal experience observing how the body works in the lab or through clinical recovery of people who suffer from loss of motor function, MS, and/or memory/cognitive decline.

As I pointed out in the seminar, different protocols do not take into account all the parts I cover in my seminar. This is due to limitations that are naturally inherent of one’s line of scientific investigation – including my own.
