About and Testimonials
Professor Ed Watson is an exercise physiologist, a Guinness World Record Champion, nutrition and strength consultant, author, and the inventor of a one-of-a-kind therapeutic stretching device and strengthening method called the ‘Magic Eddie’.
Watson originated his Magic Eddie Assisted Stretching Method in 1997 for the Aveda Lifestyle Tour for hair stylists, rock climbers, and athletes and has since refined it to treat the most prevalent soft tissue aches and joint pains – e.g. a compressed low back, locked up hips, tight hamstrings, stiff knees, kyphosis, and frozen shoulders.
The method effectively decompresses the lumbar spinal column and strengthens the entire kinetic chain of the body … the hips, knees, and ankles starting from the feet on up. It is extremely safe and effective in restoring lost mobility in anyone – including people with hip and/or knee replacements, suffering from neuropathy in the feet due to diabetes, and specific ‘soft-tissue issues’.
Relief is almost instantaneous for many people trying it for the first time.
It’s not ‘like magic’, it is magic.
About my Workshops on Metabolism and Exercise Physiology Class:
More then 50% of Watson’s curriculum of his Functional Exercise Physiology class illustrates the mechanisms and integrated metabolic factors of heart and cognitive health, (although the students are not cognizant of this immediately, nor need to be). Watson’s visual based educational materials, and storytelling make the invisible world of the body visible.
Traditional, monotherapeutic treatments for brain cell degeneration, cognitive decline, and heart failure are effectively being replaced by what’s called The Metabolic Model, which involves a ‘systems approach‘ understanding of how the body works, i.e. microcirculation, mitochondrial function, robust assimilation of nutrients, rest, and exercise.
- This advancement of metabolic and system oriented science is actually a rehash to the 1930’s Gestalt Era – meaning ‘Organic Form‘ – which emphasizes the relationship among all the parts of a living organism is primary for understanding the health of living beings – as well as for understanding nutrition and exercise science.
